Each project can vary significantly in price depending on a number of factors, which differ according to each service.
Sample Edit (10 pages)
This is the first step in my editing process when I take on a new author—it’s beneficial for both of us so we can each get to know each other’s styles. Reading and performing a line-level edit on your manuscript allows me to first get to know your writing and your story so I can recommend to you what kind of edit may be best and how much you could expect me to charge per hour.
I’ll edit your story, focusing on the big picture concepts, worldbuilding, themes, characters, plot, and more.
I’ll edit your story, performing either a heavy, medium, or light copyedit depending on what your manuscript needs. These focus on improving big to small concepts (respectively), as well as line-level corrections.
I’ll double-check that all of your facts and research match their sources, and ensure that your sources are cited properly.
I’ll catch any errors that the copyediting stage may have missed, or were introduced during the revision process. If the manuscript has been laid out in InDesign, I will proofread the interior layout as well as the text.
Book Interior Layout
Using Adobe InDesign, I will design the interior of your book and make it print-ready.
Book Cover Design
After a rough cover concept process where you choose your favorite of three designs, I will design the full cover of your book.
From posters to research papers to newsletters, I will create a professional design that you can present and be proud of.
From Beginning to End
Throughout the process of self-publishing your book, I will help you stay on track and provide my services along the way (editing, design, marketing, event coordination, and more). Price is flexible depending on how much you’d like assistance/management.
