I was the proofreader, copyeditor, and cover design consultant for this wonderful anthology of short stories dedicated to Ursula K. Le Guin, forthcoming in October 2021 by Forest Avenue Press. I’m very proud to have been involved in this book, and it actually inspired me to write my thesis on the Influence of Ursula K. Le Guin.

Court of Venom

As the Project Manager of the Library Writers Project team, I had the pleasure of acquiring Court of Venom for Ooligan Press with the assistance of the LWP Managing Editor, making it Ooligan’s first ever fantasy novel! In a small team of editors, I assisted in both the developmental edit and heavy copyediting phases for Court of Venom, an adult fantasy novel featuring a morally grey protagonist who serves as assassin and stepsister to a bored but viscious queen.

Finding the Vein
by Jennifer Hanlon Wilde

Alongside a team of editors, I performed a heavy and a light copyedit on Finding the Vein, a mystery novel centered around a murder at a summer camp for adoptees. As the project manager of this book at Ooligan Press, I adored working with the author to strengthen this manuscript.

From Knowledge to Power
by Dr. John Perona

In this approachable nonfiction title for anyone interested in climate change and science from Ooligan Press, I assisted a team of editors in a light copyedit. I was then specifically asked to perform an additional copyediting round in a smaller team to edit citations in the footnotes on each page, and was given the title Research Assistant for my efforts on this book.

With a team of editors at Ooligan Press, I completed a heavy copyedit and line edit on this literary new adult fiction.

With a team of editors at Ooligan Press, I performed a medium copyedit, a YA novel that explores mental health and grief.

The Names We Take

On this YA fiction from Ooligan Press, featuring an apocalyptic plague and LGBTQ+ themes, I assisted a team of editors in completing an ebook proofread.

Finding the Vein

As the project manager of the third title in the Library Writers Project partnership between the Multnomah County Library and Ooligan Press, I had the profound pleasure of overseeing a dedicated team and the production process from heavy copyedit to publication, all while working remotely during the pandemic. This is Ooligan’s first mystery novel. Specifically, I managed:

• Author relations
• Liaison between the library, the department managers of Ooligan Press, & the author
• Cover design consultation
• Marketing strategy & execution
• Social media strategy & execution
• Event planning & coordination
